You might ask, why is it called “Meadowrella?” It’s due to the fact that fresh cheese (not aged) is not allowed under the PA raw milk permit. While we are not permitted by the state, Lykens Valley Creamery is, and due to raw milk laws, dubs it “Meadowrella” to circumvent laws surrounding fresh vs. aged cheese.
